Is Anointing Just a Ritual?

First Fruits of Zion has a great article: “Anointing with Oil – is anointing the sick with oil supposed to be a spiritual/ritual act?

Many of you have seen the video teaching I have on Colds, Flus, Respiratory Infections, & Mold: How to Anoint a Loved Ones.



Biblically, Anointing was for kings, prophets, priests (of war), and healing.

According to Anicent Biblical Aromatherapy, the Anointing Oil — SHeMeN Tov (good oil) was made with olive oil (or Jojoba*). The lipid olive oil was often infused with botanicals for healing properties. Both the infused plant material and the pressed olive oil have medicinal healing properties.

Yeshua was pressed like an olive to bring light and healing to the world — in the Garden of GethSHeMeNee SHeMeN — Oil.

Botanical plant material was ground to make the ketoret incense and macerated to be infused in the anointing oil. Both were used to heal.

We see the occurrence of the ketoret incense used to fumigate viz., drive out evil spirits such as viruses, fungi, and bacteria including the plague in the book of Numbers:

Num 16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from YHWH; the plague is begun.

Num 16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

Num 16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

In the Renewed Testsment (James), we see instructions are given to anoint the sick viz., massage with oil—SHeMeN.

SHeMeN is Hebrew for oil. In Ancient Hebrew we can denote the shin, mem, nun as, “the pressed fluid from the seed (life force).

The anointment in James was most likely akin to the anointing oil, which we know today, contains botanical plant material that have anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal properties.

Jas 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil (SHeMeN) in the name (SHeM -power, character, and authority) of the YHWH.

Note: the vibrational signatures of energy (created by Elohim) of praying, singing AND the SHeMeN (oil aka Ruach/Holy Spirit) were instructed to be used for the sick by mature, wise, and skilled “elders.”

SHeMeN was for the purpose to burn to provide light (Yeshua is light of world),

Throughout Scripture, SHeMeN is akin or related to Oil, Holy Spirit/Ruach and anointing, light, aroma, etc..

Num 4:16 And to the office of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest pertaineth the oil — SHeMeN — for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.

Yeshua (Jesus) is symbolized by SHeMeN aka Oil

Yeshua is the light of world

Yeshua is a pleasing aroma offering to YHWH

Yeshua is the Moshiach – Anointed – Massaged One

Yeshua is the Great Shepherd, Overseer of Living Stones Tabernacle, Echad – One Body and each individual living stone

Exo 25:6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, . . .

Yeshua is the light of world, aroma of obedience, aromatic, fumigator or ketoret/incense that drives out (unclean spirits) — purifier of the saints

Isaiah refers to SHeMeN as Ointment – SHeMeN for Healing

The SHeM (power, character and authority) and SHeMeN Oil Heal Sinners – Emotionally, Physically and Spiritually.

Isa 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken YHWH, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Isa 1:5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Isa 1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment – SHeMeN.

Some believe the recipe for the original Anointing Oil used to anoint Aaron may have actually changed his DNA or switched on, epigentically, his (and his descendant’s – cohanim) DNA markers!  This may be related to the botanical chemical constituents.

*Jojoba is a wax acting like a carrier lipid oil such as olive oil. The original recipe may have been made with jojoba oil so that it would have an indefinite shelf life. This would allow the original recipe to endure time and not to become rancid; therefore, be good for anointing the Moshiach when He arrives.

* This presentation covers the ingredients of the ketoret incense and the anointing oil that was hidden during the time of Jeriemiah before His prophecies came to pass. A jug of the original anointing oil was found and was not rancid, as would have been the case if it had been infused with olive oil. Rahter, it was discovered to have been infused with jojoba oil/wax. The healing weapon of the anointing oil, along with the other Treasures of Israel, most likely, are hidden in the Qumran Caves according to the Copper Scrolls.
